The Christmas Holidays have finally arrived!
I have finished the Christmas shopping and the wrapping is in full swing. We would have been a little further along if we hadn’t of had an impromptu visit to the neighbours this afternoon for mulled wine, mince pies and cherry vodka! I can’t promise this blog will make a whole load of sense but I will do my best!
I believe that Christmas is a time for giving. While posting Christmas cards remains a treasured tradition in the UK, an increasing number of people are choosing to give a donation to charity. I figured I would join them and have cut back on cards dramatically in the last couple of years. It just seems particularly wasteful at Christmas when, in many cases, people just scribble their name with no message. As a result, I donated the money I would have spent on cards to a local charity called East Anglian Children’s Hospice. They support children with life threatening conditions in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
Talking of the local charity EACH – I recently completed a Santa Dash 5k run to raise money for them. It was amazing fun and I even achieved some new PB’s on the course. Result!
I wish all my lovely readers a very Merry Christmas. I will pop back online to give you a run down of 2019 before we welcome in the New Year.
Jingle All The Way…
